    FAWM

    Are you FAWMing?

FAWM stands for February Album Writing Month.  Each February, hundreds of people all over the world are spending the entire month writing, recording, and releasing music.  The goal is to complete 14 songs by the end of the month.  Given that February has only 28 days, that’s a new song every other day!  But the real goal was probably stated best by Jack London:  “You can’t wait for inspiration. You have to go after it with a club!”

    RtPHX #001- Todd Lorenz

With Todd LorenzWelcome to Retune Phoenix’s inaugural episode! Through this program, we hope to bring to you the music and passion of musicians with a Phoenix connection.  Phoenix has always had a rich musical culture.  You might not ever have heard of some of these folks, but we think you should.

In our first installment, we welcome Todd Lorenz to the studio.  Todd is a guitarist, bassist, singer, and songwriter with a deep connection to Phoenix.  Listen in and learn about his musical roots, gear, writing and recording processes, and lots more!  (And by “lots more,” I should caution you that Todd and I are long-time friends, so we tend to joke and ramble on about things that we think are interesting/funny/scholarly.  You, upon listening, might disagree with that.  Also, if you are offended by the occasional sprinkling of colorful language, you might want to consider not listening.)
